About
I work mostly with a Leica M and a beat-up Mamiya 7 — Tri-X, Portra 400, occasional Provia for the long projects. Digital only when the assignment demands it.
Born in Šiauliai in 1986. Studied photojournalism at Vilnius Art Academy (2008), did the obligatory two years on a daily paper, then walked. Since 2014 I have been freelancing on long-form documentary work — first across the Baltic states, then EU-wide, mostly editorial and NGO.
I do not do real-estate photography. I do not do weddings. I do not produce or retouch AI-generated images. Commercial portraiture only by referral.
For workshops: I teach one residential workshop per year through Akademinė Leidykla on documentary practice. The 2026 cohort opens September; the syllabus is on the Akademinė site.
